DRAW DOWN 2011

Hello everyone, A you may have noticed the lake has been drawn down rather successfully. The new gate is working beautiful and according to Lee is a little sensitive. He will do his best to maintain  the proper level.  The NEW GATE has an electronic monitoring system to help in adjusting the levels, it is state of the art.

Now All we need is some Cold weather!!!! I know we really don't want winter to appear but would love to get these weeds frosted out!!!

Annual Meeting

Hello, we are slated to have the  
Annual Meeting on Tuesday November 3rd 
at 7: 30 p.m.  

Lower level of the town hall.

Please bring some ideas or some concerns.

All those who attend must be up to date on the Dues to Vote.

Attention SRA members: Update!!!!! As many of you have noticed the lake has dropped dramatically. This was due to the town pulling the obstruction off the inlet valve and having the gate wide open!!!!!!! The gate has since been closed as far as it can go until repairs are done.

 WE ALL NEED TO BE AT THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING ON THURSDAY MAY 5TH, 7 pm.  
We need to vote YES on article 6.  This allows the town to have $15, 500 contingency money available in case something goes wrong and they can proceed with our project.

We need to pull together again and get this done, once and for all.

DAM UPDATE 3/7/2011

This is a letter from Robert McNeil about our time table concerning the dam. Sounds great!  Remember that we lost close to 5 feet of water last season, so 2 feet shouldn't be all that bad before Memorial day. We should fill up quite fast at that point.

I wanted to give everyone an update on the Sugden Dam repairs.  We are purchasing the new lift gate directly (separately from the installation contract) to expedite the construction schedule and save on the contractor’s markup.  Plans are available to potential bidders through our Engineer (PARE Corp.) and will be available for viewing here at the U&F office.
