I spoke to Spencer Town Administrator's Office this week regarding the upcoming meeting and the possibility of summer resident registration for the priviledge of voting on the dam issue. Here's what I was told: 1-To register, you must swear under oath that Spencer is your primary residence. 2- That the dam issue to be tabled at the Oct 7th meeting is not to authorize the repair expenditure but rather to merely authorize an engineering study through which the actual cost of dam repair can be accurately determined. There is no question that the study will be authorized. The REAL issue will come later when the town has to face the financial responsibility for the repair.

Al, Would you please post an update for those of us who were unable to attend the 8/19 meeting.
Specifically interested in whether there has been a specific commitment by the town to fund the dam repair and when that might take place.
